With all the hyped that happened when Pokemon Go was first released, everyone was playing this on their mobile devices. Whether it was on their iPone or on their Android. Now Pokemon Go! will be releasing a monster of an update.
NianticLabs, the Pokemon Go! developer, will be releasing 80 new Pokemon Monsters, as well as new berries to use and evolution items to collect.
Here are the full details:
More than 80 Pokémon that were originally discovered in the Johto region in the Pokémon Gold and Pokémon Silver video games, as well as Pokémon with gender-specific variations, will start rolling out in Pokémon GO.
There are now more opportunities to evolve your Pokémon in Pokémon GO than ever before. Some Pokémon originally discovered in the Kanto region will soon be able to evolve—into Pokémon that inhabit the Johto region! Be on the lookout for new Evolution items at PokéStops, which you’ll need to evolve some Pokémon.
New Encounter Gameplay:
When you encounter Pokémon in the wild, don’t be surprised if they react in new ways as you’re trying to catch them. You’ll also notice the addition of new item carousels that allow you to select Berries and Poké Balls directly from the encounter screen. Hone your skills and catch those elusive Pokémon!
Pokémon enjoy eating Berries, and you’ll have the opportunity to get two new Berries by spinning the Photo Disc at PokéStops—Nanab Berries and Pinap Berries! Giving a Pokémon a Nanab Berry will slow its movements, making it easier to catch. The Pinap Berry doubles the amount of Candy you’ll receive if your next catch attempt succeeds.
New Avatars and an Expanded Wardrobe:
Now you’ll be able to give your avatar a complete upgrade! Customize your look with a whole new selection of hats, shirts, pants, and other items.
Pokemon Go developer Niantic has revealed more about some of the brand new features.
Pokemon Go Valentine’s event is coming to an end, so you’d better hurry if you want to catch those additional Pink Pokemon.
The Pokemon Go Valentine’s event ends at 7pm UK time tonight (February 15).The Pokemon Go Valentine’s event sees Buddy Pokemon earn candy twice as fast, while players receive double the amount of Candy every time they catch, hatch, and transfer Pokemon.Other bonuses include increased spawn rates for Pink Pokemon like Chansey and Clefable, while Cleffa, Igglybuff, and Smoochum are more likely to hatch from Eggs.Lure Modules also last for a whopping six hours, which gives players a better chance of finding Pokemon.Lures dropped just before the event ends will last until midnight tonight.
Pokemon Go developer Niantic appears to have made a secret change as part of the new Valentine’s event update.
And it’s good news for Pokemon Go fans who have struggled to hatch certain Pokemon over 10km.
The recent Pokemon Go update changes the whole egg hatching dynamic, which makes it easier to catch certain 5km and 10km Pokemon.
Pokemon such as Abra, Bellsprout, Cubone, Diglett, Ekans, Exeggecute, Ghastly, Goldeen, Krabby, Machop, Nidoran (both), Oddish, Seel, Slowpoke, Venonat and Voltorb are now in the 2km category, while Pinsir and Scyther have moved from 10km to 5km.
Reducing the Pokemon found in the 5km and 10km tiers makes it more likely that you’ll spawn a rarity, although the extra 2km Pokemon make it even more of a lottery at the lower levels.
It’s even possible that the company is freeing up space for the release of Gen 2 Pokemon.
